Our research focuses on making artificial intelligence safe, transparent and aligned with human professionals. Today’s agentic AI systems can draft legal documents, support medical decisions or assist in defence operations, but they can also misinterpret instructions or behave in ways that don’t reflect human values. To address these risks, our architecture combines workflow verification with neuro‑symbolic alignment (patent pending). Every action proposed by the AI is expressed as a structured workflow and formally checked against safety requirements, legal rules and professional standards before execution. A complementary rule‑based layer captures laws, ethical codes and the behaviour of trusted professionals; these rules are kept short and clear, continuously revised and “hot‑reloaded” into the system so that the AI stays aligned with up‑to‑date regulations.Our team also develops technology that enables an AI to mirror a trusted professional. By observing speech, video and other behavioural signals from a practitioner’s everyday work, the system learns how they explain decisions and the order in which they act. A symbolic engine checks every proposed action against obligations and prohibitions; if something would breach consent or miss a mandatory step, the suggestion is blocked. Continuous rule revision and transparent logging make the AI’s decisions auditable and responsive to new laws or standards.
Another branch of our R & D tackles the problem of explaining large language models. Our multi‑media extraction pipeline converts the internal activations of a frozen language model into human‑readable rules and renders those rules as text, diagrams, audio, video or interactive scenes. This allows different audiences, from compliance officers to children, to see why an AI made a particular choice, improving trust and accountability.

JoBot™ is an artificial‑intelligence program modelled on the daily psychological work of a clinical psychologist in Australia. It supports individuals, mental‑health providers and support organisations by offering AI technology and psychological services in Australia and selected countries. Chatbots deliver round‑the‑clock accessibility: they provide immediate assistance any time of day. JoBot™ integrates with leading large language models such as ChatGPT, combining state‑of‑the‑art generative AI with domain‑specific guidance. JoBot™ can support structured interviews, summarise information, suggest treatment options and prepare reports while remaining aligned with professional standards.We also offer AI‑conducted assessments. For example, our adult autism assessment mirrors the structure of a real‑world assessment: an intake interview, psychological questionnaires and tests, an explanation of results and a detailed report. After the assessment, clients receive a seven‑to‑eight‑page report describing the tests, scores and recommendations. AI Security
Our integrated verification and alignment architecture (patent pending) ensures that AI agents are both safe and aligned. It combines workflow generation and static verification with multimodal neuro‑symbolic alignment and continuous rule revision. AI agents generate workflows expressed as abstract syntax trees that are verified against explicit safety constraints before execution, and their behaviour is aligned with individual professionals or institutions via multimodal observation and a symbolic rule core. Continuous rule revision keeps the rule set current and versioned, and the architecture produces immutable traces for auditability. Because safety constraints can be hard‑coded as non‑defeasible top‑priority rules (for example, the rules of engagement in defence settings), the system prevents unsafe actions and guarantees lawful and ethical conduct across domains.Our multi‑media extraction (patent pending) further enhances AI security by making the inner workings of language models interpretable. Features extracted from a frozen language model are converted into symbolic rules and rendered as text, diagrams, audio, video or interactive scenes. Optional modules fuse these rule sets with the model’s reasoning traces to produce step‑by‑step explanations, improving accessibility and auditability without altering the model.
Another invention enables individual‑level AI alignment via a multimodal neuro‑symbolic architecture. A perception layer encodes text, video and brain‑computer‑interface signals (if available); a policy module proposes actions; and a symbolic core, together with continuous rule revision, enforces ontologies, deontic and temporal rules and conflict‑resolution regimes. Behaviour cloning and rule‑aware fine‑tuning keep the AI aligned to the observed practitioner while drift detection and abstention preserve integrity. Our personal alignment (patent pending) extends this work, aligning AI behaviour with the daily verbal behaviour of individual users and codifying conversational rules using symbolic logic, enabling alignment at the individual rather than population level.
